The Filmmaker
Jeannette Godoy is a first generation, Mexican American director. She began her career as a dancer and choreographer, traveling the world doing music videos, TV shows, and more and is responsible for the choreography in the pop culture hit, “Baby Got Back.” Ms. Godoy began her directing career in 2011 with an award winning trip to Cannes for a spec commercial she wrote and directed. This propelled her to be considered one of the best new directors of that year. With this documentary, she shows her true passion for storytelling and hopes to create awareness and change perceptions about what people with disabilities are capable of accomplishing. “Free 2 Be Me” is the most special creative project of her career.
